I thought it would be funny and useful to make a small list of the bird related products I couldn't live without...
So, here it goes!

1. A Birdie Scale
It's so important to track your bird's weight so that you know when something is wrong. It's the best way to tell if your bird is becoming sick. Birds are good at hiding it until it's too late but you can be ahead of the game if you keep tabs on their weight.

2. A Shower Perch
In my own shower at home I have two shower perches and I always take some with me on the road, too. They're good for putting in windows of RV's (done that on a road trip before!) and also at the showers in hotels. A good way to let your parrot sit out for a bit while on the road and shower easily with you.

3. A Water Bottle for Small Animals
Weird? No! This is a great water bottle for medium to large sized birds. I'm sure parakeets and cockatiels could learn to drink them them too (haven't tried that yet) but my Cockatoos, Congo African Grey parrot and Macaws all drink from this just fine. It can be learned and is superb for traveling and hiking with your parrots.

4. Shelled Nuts
The reason I like them shelled is because it is more time consuming for your bird to get into so it keeps them busy should you need a quick detour for them! Works like a charm every time!
