Cardboard Cruncher - Tiny Foraging Bird Toy

Introduce your flock to our Cardboard Cruncher, a tiny foraging toy designed for beaks that love to rip things to shreds while foraging. Originally one of our classic designs (and originally named after Cressi, our Congo African Grey), this toy has become a fan favorite across all sizes (available in tiny, small, medium and large!). The cardboard layers provide natural shredding satisfaction, while small foraging spaces give your bird a chance to search for their treats. Perfect for birds who love to explore textures and engage both their minds and tiny (but mighty) bodies.

Approximate Dimensions: 3.75”H x 2”W x 2”L

BirdTricks Exclusive Toys - Handcrafted with Safe, Natural Materials

All of our BirdTricks Exclusive toys are made with your flock’s safety and engagement in mind. Each one features a selection all-natural materials—including (but not limited to) jute, sola, mahogany, corn husks, palm leaves, and balsa—to provide a variety of textures and enrichment. Even our BirdTricks tags are made from veggie-tanned leather, offering an extra non-toxic source of fun. Each design is handmade in the USA by our small but passionate team.

Help Your Bird Learn to Play

Not all birds naturally know how to play with toys—some need a little encouragement. If your bird seems unsure or even scared of toys, don’t worry. Once they understand what toys are for, their instincts will take over! Use these resources to help your bird build confidence and curiosity with new toys:

Safety Reminder

Always supervise playtime with any bird toy. While we use the safest materials possible, no toy is 100% risk-free. Monitoring ensures the benefits of mental stimulation and beak exercise outweigh potential hazards. Be sure to also remove a toy from the environment if your bird does not play with it as intended, or if it destroyed to a point where what's left becomes hazardous.
