How did we come up with our lists?

There are multiple safe plant bird lists all over the Internet. We used information from multiple “safe bird plants and trees” lists - if it appeared on several safe lists and there was no iffi-ness about it, it went on our safe list. Information was gathered and compiled by people who have extensive knowledge in plants and foliage and by people who have studied how wild birds react to certain trees/bushes/plants which they avoid, etc.
