Happy Anniversary to you both. My daughter and two granddaughters just moved back in with me and she came home with a Ruby Macaw about 9yrs old I have a Greenwing who is about 8yrs old. To make a long story short. The Ruby lives in the front room with the Greenwing. I do not have any other place int he house for either of them. The Ruby has started coming down to me off her open perch(she does not live in a cage) and walking over to me to pick her up. That in turn makes my Green wing upset to where she wants to bite me.Is there any way to make them tolerate each other they do not have to be best buddies just get along. I make sure I pay attention to Patches(GW) first as she was here first. And then pay attention to Valen(Ruby) Do you have any suggestions for me and what to do about the situation. My daughter does not pay much attention to Valen any more and I try and devide my time between both of them. I just want them to be a happy. Any suggestions I would welcome. You both are awesome! Thanks for taking time to share with us : ) I have a young Greenwing 1 1/2 yr old who is very mouthy. How can I keep his beak off my hands, it is constant, mostly gentle, I constantly say gentle and he is most the time, but puts on the pressure now and again, I’m constantly prying his beak off my hands the whole time I hold him. Any ideas? In 30 years of birds, I’ve not dealt with this. Thanks so much!

I want to say CoNgRaTs first and far most, you guys are so cute together and your daughter is beautiful. I love the fact that you guys let her be apart of holding and working with the parrots. I have several of your videos and I have learned a lot from them ?? I have a blue front Amazon that was just given to me about 6 months ago. His name is Dexter Morgan and he is a really sweet bird, very cuddly until someone else walks in the room that he favors more, then he will bite. And he bites really hard. My 19 year old son can hold him, pet him and cuddle with him but when I enter the room he turns on my son, and my son will play it off with no response no yelling just places him on the floor and backs away slowly. The bird actually runs to bite him.? HELP, what would you suggest? Sincerely, Kristy Olson

Happy 11th, here’s to 11 more years of marriage happiness. two month old ring necks.. all what to bite……do I begin training now? I have 6 (three 2 month old and three 3 month olds)

Hi I’ve just got a 10 week old alexanderine, I was so inspired by yours and your vids, ive named him rasta after yours, any tips would be great as he can be nippy and thinks my are and fingers are chew toys lol anyways love the videos keep up the good work

Up until about 2 months ago, my 15 year old Meyers parrot seemed to want to be held a lot. Now he will step up but he bites me. He still wants me to pet him and he still responds to touch training and stepping up on a perch for a treat. I’m almost afraid to hold him anymore. I never yell when he bites me but I do shake him off. I’m not sure what to do. Any advice?

Almost everything I have learned on how to take care of my parrots have come from your videos and blogs, and it means so much to me. I have a Cockatiel who came from rather horrible conditions and he is a whole new bird! A question on Random Rewarding, how many times should you Randomly Reward your bird, and exactly how much? If you offered Random Rewarding too often, would our birds become frustrated if we suddenly stopped? Thanks guy! Keep up the miraculous work!

I’ve been training a young green cheek. She is learning very quickly. One of the things I’ve not really figured out is when to start giving the treats a variable times rather than with every click. Seems like I’ve heard you address this before, but I still don’t think I do it correctly.
