I used these amazing muffins to get a client's hyacinth macaw, Hymie, to eat organic pellets for the first time ever. In fact, his diet went from a colored, sugary pellet and tons of nuts to fresh fruits, veggies, oatmeal, grains and organic pellets because of this muffin recipe!
Good luck finding a bird that WON'T eat these!
If your bird is trying the muffins for the first time, you want to try to encourage your bird to eat it by including its favorite treats. Millet works best for parakeets, cockatiels and other small parrots while nuts and seeds work great for medium to large sized parrots. This works because while the bird is set on getting that seed or nut inside the muffin, it's eating the healthy parts too and learns that it's not that bad and it, in fact, loves it. I haven't met a bird yet that won't eat these muffins.

And trust me, this hyacinth macaw is pickier than YOUR bird. And he ate it. No more crappy diet for him and it completely changed his mood!
A healthy bird is a happy bird.
