Modeling With Exotics

Photo by Carlos Yepez Location: Coney Island, NY In flight: Blue throated macaw "Jinx"

For PR here in NY, and just with the circus in general, I've been doing a lot of modeling with my birds. I have modeled with some of them before, but my macaws have especially been in the spotlight lately alongside my modeling.

Comet and Jinx, two of my four macaws, were used in a photoshoot for the Felice Brothers (band) for a London Magazine. Hopefully I get my hands on it when it comes out in publication...

With animals, I always warn the photographers we don't have that many shots and we are gonna go with what the animals are feeling. If they want to fly, they will, but I don't guarantee anything with animals... how can you? But the pay off is sure rewarding and I love having these memories captured on film.
