Throughout the years, Dave and Jamieleigh have worked with hundreds of clients, yet found that most of them were experiencing similar issues. It was through these consultations that they created
The Family Friendly Parrot Formula - a collection of techniques that address the most common issues that befall parrot owners.
- Bite you for no reason?
- Refuse to train because it doesn't like treats?
- Only like one member of your family and wants to attack the rest?
- Scream NON-STOP for your attention?
- Show fear and aggression towards people and/or hands?
If you answered yes to ANY of those questions, we have the solution for you!
Other topics included are...
Discovering what Opportunistic Training is and why not being aware of this can be detrimental to having a well behaved parrot, ever.
What The Reset is and why it's such a powerful way to get your bird to focus on you.
Why your current actions are more than likely accidentally punishing your parrot, and how to focus on using positive reinforcement for shaping behaviors.
And much, much more!

"First of all, I think it is the most fabulous introduction to the principles of training I have ever seen. Since I have studied a lot about behavior training, most was a repeat of what I already knew, but the segment on capturing was intriguing. It is not something that I have utilized much, but I intend to think about it more with my parrots, a moluccan cockatoo, a lesser sulfur crested cockatoo and a caique. My moluccan cockatoo is a certified therapy bird with Pet Partners and I do retirement home visitations with her, a truly rewarding experience. When I first learned about training (I took the professional course at Natural Encounters in Florida), I decided to train all 3 of my birds the same tricks, wave, turn around and retrieve. You can probably guess the results, but the caique blew the other two away and learned all 3 tricks in a week or so. The moluccan was next with about 2-3 weeks and the sulfur crested was last since she is quite a shy bird. I guess the point is that persistence and repetition are essentials, but you know that. They are all individuals and learn on their own terms.
Thank for producing a wonderful video and I hope I can get more people to buy it. You are free to use this as an endorsement if you wish."
