It has been a week and a day since Bandit squished his toe and so far, so good in the healing process. The dead skin on top of the toe came off, though I'm not sure exactly when except I noticed it on Tuesday when I brought him to the RV to keep Dave and myself company while we're sick with the flu. It's nice to have some Bandit entertainment while we're feeling under the weather...

I noticed the fresh looking skin on his toe and took some snap shots of it to show all of you. The vet said that the skin would come off, and just hoped it would wait until the under lying skin was healed before doing so which it looks to be! We're really pleased with his recovery so far and since this was just one more step in his recovery process, I wanted to make sure to share it. I'm sure there will be a few more posts related to his toe in the future as the nail grows in and over the quick and it begins to look like the others. Hopefully soon you won't be able to tell it apart!
